Shanelle N. Vega-Haux, BC-HIS, A. A. S. , is the CEO of the Central Oregon Miracle-Ear centers, including Bend, Madras, Prineville and Burns.

Credentials

She is a licensed and trained Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist and holds active licenses in the states of Oregon, Washington and California. She graduated with an Associate's Degree in Applied Science Hearing Instrument Specialists. Shanelle continues to study hearing and the challenges that people can face on a daily basis.

Paola is fluent in both English and Spanish and enjoys working with a diverse population of ages and cultures. When Paola's not working, she enjoys the many recreational opportunities that Central Oregon offers, as well as participating with nonprofit organizations.

Her greatest joy in working with patients is when they come back and share their experiences hearing their loved ones. Paola truly believes the most important part of what we do is to listen.

While many elements can contribute to hearing loss, age and exposure to loud noise are the two most common. While most people experience moments or brief periods of hearing ringing in the ears at some time in their lives, some people experience tinnitus more regularly. Tinnitus is not a condition itself, but rather a symptom of another condition. 90 percent of people with tinnitus also have noise-induced hearing loss. The good news? Hearing aids can help.

Custom-fit

Our custom-fit hearing aids are molded to fit each person’s unique ear shape. Your hearing instrument specialist will take a mold of your ear while you're in the office. This is quick and painless! It will then get sent to the manufacturer, where your hearing aid will be created just for you. Custom-fit hearing aids are extremely comfortable, discreet and provide very natural sound quality.

1 If you’re feeling unwell, please stay home. You can work with your care coordinator to reschedule your appointment or stop in at a better time.
2 Masks are optional. Wear a mask if this makes you feel comfortable and safe. We have some available as well, by request.
3 Hand sanitizer is available at every neighborhood location. Please ask your store team members to direct you toward the hand sanitizer.
