Professional Experience

I joined the Miracle-Ear family in February 2020, but have been specializing in hearing health since 2019. I also bring with me over 10 years of experience working in the medical field.

Credentials

I am professionally certified to conduct audiometric testing and evaluate hearing loss. I also have a Bachelor of Science in biology and allied health from Greensboro College. I am passionate about hearing health and helping people because I, myself, have a hearing loss and understand the challenges that it presents. I am happy to build ongoing, positive connections with each patient through outstanding service, and will do everything that I can to help people meet their hearing health needs.

Favorite Part of Working With Miracle-Ear

I love being able to help make a difference in someone’s life. Improving hearing health across all age groups is such a rewarding experience. My goal is to enhance your quality of life by making your hearing as effortless as possible. By listening to your challenges – and through our diagnostic testing – I am able to make assessments and recommendations based on your individual needs and budget. I am truly grateful to be able to provide a service of this magnitude.

Professional Experience

For several years, I was the manager of a large retail pharmacy – starting my career in healthcare. I’ve been the Patient Care Coordinator for the Jacksonville Miracle-Ear office since 2014. I’ve learned to clean and care for patients’ hearing aids and hearing loss problems. I deal with all types of customer service – from answering phone calls to scheduling appointments, and even greeting the walk-ins who are looking for hearing help.

Favorite Part of Working With Miracle-Ear

I thoroughly enjoy helping all our patients. I particularly love it when someone comes in and says that their hearing aids aren’t working; that’s when I do my magic and clean them into working again! Over the years, I’ve grown to know many of our patients on a personal level. I’ve met many good people, and love being able to help them hear and understand better.

Hearing loss

Hearing loss can happen to anyone. Today, more than 48 million Americans have some degree of hearing loss. There are three types of hearing loss: sensorineural, conductive and mixed hearing loss. While many elements can contribute to hearing loss, age and exposure to loud noise are the two most common. Signs of hearing loss include turning the TV volume up, difficulty hearing on the phone or asking people to repeat themselves. Luckily, hearing aids are a great treatment option for many.

Tinnitus

Do you hear buzzing, humming or ringing in the ears? You’re not alone. Nearly 10 to 15 percent of American adults have tinnitus. While most people experience moments or brief periods of hearing ringing in the ears at some time in their lives, some people experience tinnitus more regularly. Tinnitus is not a condition itself, but rather a symptom of another condition. 90 percent of people with tinnitus also have noise-induced hearing loss. The good news? Hearing aids can help.

Hearing aid repairs

Hearing aids are amazing devices—except when they’re not working properly. Just like other pieces of technology, they can sometimes experience technical issues. Luckily, our 3-year warranty* covers most hearing aid repairs. Repairs may be needed if troubleshooting your device hasn’t worked or your hearing aid has been physically damaged. The issue could be caused by one of a few things, including the internal tubing, microphone or case.

Hearing aid aftercare

At Miracle-Ear, we know that if we, together, take care of your hearing aid, it will take care of you. It's essential that your device functions properly and allows you to live life to the fullest. That's why we offer free lifetime service and hearing aid aftercare*. This includes clean and checks, adjustments, repairs and annual hearing tests.

*Miracle-Ear® lifetime aftercare not included with hearing aids purchased utilizing some insurance benefits.

Custom-fit

Our custom-fit hearing aids are molded to fit each person’s unique ear shape. Your hearing instrument specialist will take a mold of your ear while you're in the office. This is quick and painless! It will then get sent to the manufacturer, where your hearing aid will be created just for you. Custom-fit hearing aids are extremely comfortable, discreet and provide very natural sound quality.

Foundation

The Miracle-Ear Foundation provides hearing health care to children and adults with limited income and no other resources for hearing aids. We're proud that our hearing center participates in this amazing program, providing free hearing aids to those in need and continuing to support them through their hearing journey.
