Dan Slapak

Professional Experience

Dan is Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences and has been licensed as a Hearing Aid Specialist by the Missouri Licensing Board within the Missouri Department of Health. He has also been through extensive training with Miracle-Ear and has received his Miracle-Ear Professional Certification. In addition, he has been trained in Live Speech Mapping, Real Ear Measurement, Deep Canal Impressions, and is proficient with all Audiometric equipment to service your needs.
Dan has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Sciences from Lindenwood University. He was born and raised in the greater St. Louis area and joined the United States Marine Corps in 2011. He enjoys fitness, spending quality time with loved ones, and helping others. Dan feels that the most enjoyable and rewarding part of his profession is the ability to help his patients.

Lesley is Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences and has been licensed as a Hearing Aid Specialist by the Missouri Licensing Board within the Missouri Department of Health. She has also been through extensive training with Miracle-Ear and has received her Miracle-Ear Professional Certification. In addition, she has been trained in Live Speech Mapping, Real Ear Measurement, Deep Canal Impressions, and is proficient with all Audiometric equipment to service your needs.
Lesley has an educational background with a AAS in Hearing Instrument Science and an Illinois HA Dispenser License. She has been in the hearing healthcare industry since 2010 and she has worked the front desk, billing, and business departments, she finally found her home in patient care. She believes in the importance of hearing healthcare for a person's whole wellbeing and values the patients time by taking the time to listen.

Hearing loss

Hearing loss can happen to anyone. Today, more than 48 million Americans have some degree of hearing loss. There are three types of hearing loss: sensorineural, conductive and mixed hearing loss. While many elements can contribute to hearing loss, age and exposure to loud noise are the two most common. Signs of hearing loss include turning the TV volume up, difficulty hearing on the phone or asking people to repeat themselves. Luckily, hearing aids are a great treatment option for many.

Tinnitus

Do you hear buzzing, humming or ringing in the ears? You’re not alone. Nearly 10 to 15 percent of American adults have tinnitus. While most people experience moments or brief periods of hearing ringing in the ears at some time in their lives, some people experience tinnitus more regularly. Tinnitus is not a condition itself, but rather a symptom of another condition. 90 percent of people with tinnitus also have noise-induced hearing loss. The good news? Hearing aids can help.

Hearing aid repairs

Hearing aids are amazing devices—except when they’re not working properly. Just like other pieces of technology, they can sometimes experience technical issues. Luckily, our 3-year warranty* covers most hearing aid repairs. Repairs may be needed if troubleshooting your device hasn’t worked or your hearing aid has been physically damaged. The issue could be caused by one of a few things, including the internal tubing, microphone or case.

At Miracle-Ear, we know that if we, together, take care of your hearing aid, it will take care of you. It's essential that your device functions properly and allows you to live life to the fullest. That's why we offer free lifetime service and hearing aid aftercare*. This includes clean and checks, adjustments, repairs and annual hearing tests.

Custom-fit

Our custom-fit hearing aids are molded to fit each person’s unique ear shape. Your hearing instrument specialist will take a mold of your ear while you're in the office. This is quick and painless! It will then get sent to the manufacturer, where your hearing aid will be created just for you. Custom-fit hearing aids are extremely comfortable, discreet and provide very natural sound quality.

Foundation

The Miracle-Ear Foundation provides hearing health care to children and adults with limited income and no other resources for hearing aids. We're proud that our hearing center participates in this amazing program, providing free hearing aids to those in need and continuing to support them through their hearing journey.
